Assessments and restoration planning is done for a variety of reasons including: (1) identifying habitat problems, their relative effect on fish habitat and populations, and possible solutions; 2) helping determine feasibility and effectiveness of a specific solution at a specific site; and (3) prioritizing restoration activities and helping to define a sequence for doing the projects.
